MainStreetForward

Why MainStreetForward exists

This business was built for owners who are good at what they do but tired of getting bad advice about tools, software, and modernization.

Small business owner helping a customer at the counter

Hi, I'm Jeff Homan

I built MainStreetForward because I kept seeing the same problem: good businesses being told they needed more complexity when what they really needed was more clarity. I have spent years around technology, but I have always cared most about the businesses that keep communities running — the shops, services, and teams doing real work every day.

A lot of owners do not need a fancy stack or a dramatic reinvention. They need someone who can look at the situation honestly, explain the tradeoffs clearly, and help them make practical decisions that fit their budget and their reality.

We developed the RISE Framework to give local businesses a practical roadmap for improving customer relationships, implementing smarter systems, and building sustainable growth.

What we believe

  • Technology should support the human side of a business, not replace it.
  • Simpler is often better.
  • Respect for budget is part of good advice.
  • The right system is the one people will actually use.
  • Good help should reduce anxiety, not increase it.

Why we work remotely

Remote work is not a compromise in this model — it is part of what makes the work effective. It keeps the focus on decisions, systems, and progress instead of travel, scheduling friction, and in-person overhead.

We are based in Wisconsin, but the work is designed to help business owners wherever they are.
